Details

Porträtdarstellungen des Menschen gibt es seit Tausenden von Jahren, Darstellungsabsicht und Stil haben sich in aber immer wieder gravierend verändert. Diese Ausstellung präsentiert zeitgenössische Künstler*innen, in deren Porträtarbeiten dem Blick der darstellten Person eine besondere Bedeutung zukommt. Sie kann offen zu Tage liegen oder ein Rätsel oder Geheimnis bergen, Offenheit ausdrücken oder sich verschließen. Nie aber geht es in der Ausstellung um die Botschaften der Werbe- und Unterhaltungsindustrie, die ihre Fortsetzungen in einer oberflächlichen Selbstinszenierung sogenannter Selfies findet.
